Quick and Easy Dessert

ByJessica Wellington 2 Comments January 11, 2012

I love to eat desserts. I especially love desserts that are quick and easy to put together. In my house, we call this oat bake, even though it is cooked in the microwave. It tastes like a cross between a candy bar and cookie dough.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Oat Dessert

1/4 cup chocolate chips
2 Tbsp peanut butter
3/4 cup oats

Combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl. Cook in 30 second increments until they are melted and stir to combine. Stir in the oats. Heat an additional 30 seconds. Enjoy a great dessert.

Believe it or not when I was a child my mother use to make this for us all the time! It was an inexpensive, delicious way to make us shut up. She also use to forget the oats and melt the chocolate and peanut butter and give us fresh apple slices. I hope you don't mind if I follow along at your blog! I found you on Sits and so far, I love all the ideas and recipes I've seen.
