Disclosure: I will be provided with the opportunity to attend this festival in exchange for event coverage. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

haute wheels houstonThere is something so fun about ordering a meal from a food truck. It is a cool experience that allows you to try amazing food on the go. I’ve had food truck meals that have easily trumped top restaurant food.

If you live in Houston, you know the city boasts some of the best restaurants in the United States. Did you also know that Houston is home to numerous highly regarded food trucks?  Haute Wheels Houston, The Food Truck Festival, will give you the opportunity to try food from 37 food trucks including:

Angie’s Cake, Bare Bowls Kitchen, Bernie’s Burger Bus, Coreanos, Custom Confections, Chocolat d’arte, Chi’lantro BBQ; Firehouse Tacos, Fork in the Road, Fraiche; Frosted Betty, Golden Grill; Happy Endings, Good Dog, H-town StrEats, It’s a Wrap; LadyBird; The Lunch Bag, Kona Ice; Kurbside Eatz; Monster PBJ; MuSuBi Houston; Pi Pizza, Pocket to Me; Porch Swing Desserts, Soul Cat Cuisine; Third Coast Sandwiches; The Waffle Bus, St. John’s Fire; Tila’s Taco Truck and Zeapod Cakery.

Newcomers to the festival include:  Flip  n Patties; Koagie Hots; Muiishi Makirittos; Nom Mi; Speer’s Rolling Bistro and Snow Cream Man.

The three day festival will benefit the Houston Community College Foundation. It will offer food, an HEB Beer and Wine Garden, live music, vendor village and Friday movie night featuring “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on a 40-foot screen with thriller music and a costume contest. (Friday night is only for adults 21 years of age or older).

During the event, many of the trucks will sell sample portions of food so that festival attendees can sample a wide variety of offerings.
