Halloween after school snack

In my house, after school snacks are a big deal. Not only does my daughter love eating a snack after school, she also wants to participate in the preparation.

One of my daughter’s favorite snack foods is cheese. She likes a wide variety of cheese flavors.

I was really excited to use the amazing Arla Dofino cheese to create a delicious after school treat.

We decided to make a snack with the Arla Dofino Gouda and Havarti cheeses.

Halloween After School Snack

Since Halloween is just around the corner, my daughter wanted to make a themed after school snack. We used Halloween cookie cutters, tortillas and cheese to make creative Halloween masterpieces.

Halloween After School Snack Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2-3 Tortillas
• Halloween cookie cutters
• Arla Dofino Havarti and Gouda cheeses
• Foil lined cookie sheet

Instructions:

Using the cookie cutters, cut shapes out of the tortillas.

Use the cheese to decorate the shapes.

Place on a foil lined cookie sheet.

Melt in a toaster oven for 3-5 minutes on 350.

This snack is extremely kid-friendly. My daughter cut out the shapes and decorated them with cheese. (I cut a variety of cheese shapes and let her do the decorating).

We loved these snacks. My daughter really enjoyed that all of her designs melted to cover the entire tortilla cut out. The Gouda and Havarti cheeses melted extremely well. They elevated the flavor of our simple after school snack.
