Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs

ByJessica Wellington 2 Comments February 8, 2012

Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs is a really entertaining book. Readers get to go behind the scenes of the main character’s (Gus) popular TV food show, which she hosts from her home. Gus balances filming her food show with the demanding needs of her family and friends. When a new celebrity chef appears on the scene, Gus is forced to share her show with the new star. Gus and the new chef couldn’t be more different and they struggle to compete for top billing. Gus somehow manages to get her family and friends to costar with her on the show, which allows for some really funny situations to occur on live television. The book is full of amusing scenarios and social interactions. The reader not only gets entertained by the book’s characters, but the author goes into detail about the delicious food prepared on the show. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
