I received Avengers Endgame to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
As Marvel brings this exciting and multiple movie and phased series (22 movies and 3 phases) to a close, there isn’t anything more appropriate than a bit of good old fashioned “against all odds” action to fix the universe!
My daughter and I have excitedly waited for this movie to come out on disc to round out our Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) collection. It is funny looking back at this epic story, starting in 2008, covering 11 years making up “The Infinity Saga.” You can even see the evolution of home movies starting with DVD cases, containing no digital movie, to DVD and Blu-ray sets, their expansion to include digital downloads, and now 4K UHD movies with 4K digital streaming video.
With that said, this movie had a lot of ground left to cover. Just by bringing in every character (we are talking EVERYONE from the primary headliners to the secondary folks who have not had their own movies) into the film was amazing. It was great to see how it culminated and how the earth and the universe were saved.
Spoilers? If you have managed to make it this far without watching the movie or learning of any key components, then you will be able to avoid these as well.
To have the two key faction leaders both team back up and meet their end was both awesome and heartbreaking. I do love a good time travel and multiple timeline plot, so this movie fit the bill! I always enjoy the combination of humor and kick-butt attitude.
When I asked my daughter about her favorite part, she said waiting for the next movie! Luckily, we already have one in theaters and several more in the process of being filmed….
But for now, it is time to deploy the big screen and pop some corn…it’s movie night.
Avengers Endgame is now available on Digital in HD, 4K Ultra HD and Movies Anywhere. It will be available on physical release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand beginning Aug. 13.
