Visiting Biltmore-Part 4

ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment February 23, 2012

The Antler Hill Winery tour was a great experience.  Not only did I learn a lot about the wine making process, I got to go behind the scenes and see how they make Biltmore’s wine and champagne. The tour was very interesting and ended with a free wine tasting. We paid a small fee to sample additional wines. The wine and champagne were very good. I purchased several bottles to take home.
I spent two days at Biltmore and could have spent more time seeing all the sights. There are many activities offered on the estate ranging from carriage rides to sporting clays shooting sessions. We stayed at the Inn On Biltmore Estate and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The hotel is beautiful and features very nice rooms that are decorated similarly to the Biltmore House. The hotel features several dining options.
The concierge is invaluable in arranging activities and meal reservations. Even though I will visit infrequently, I ended up purchasing a season pass because of the great discounts it offered during my visit.
This travel destination has it all. You can easily have fun as a couple or enjoy a trip with your entire family.
