Many bloggers don’t consider themselves a small business. However, all bloggers, who host giveaways or run ads, have customers. Whether it is a public relations company or a representative from a major corporation, these individuals are your clients because you are doing work for them.

For some time now, I’ve been looking for products that can help me manage all of my customers and projects in one place. In the corporate world, many companies utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to keep customers, contacts and projects succinct in one location with an easy to use application.

For freelance writers and other small businesses, however, the costs for software like this is too high. However, all of that is about to change because of Insightly.

Insightly allows small businesses to utilize CRM and project management tools in one location. I like Insightly because it is cost effective and offers a wide variety of integrations to help me manage my projects and contacts.

Insightly is free for up to three users. This is not a trial version, but once you sign up, it is free for the long haul. Free support is also included with this package. There are other packages for businesses requiring more than three users. For more information, visit http://www.insightly.com/Pricing

I went online and created a free Insightly account. The whole process took under one minute. Once I signed in, I was ready to go.

I like that the application has a dashboard that lets you access all of the components in one spot. If you are currently using spreadsheets and e-mail to manage your contacts, you can move all of that information to Insightly.

I love that Insightly integrates with Google Apps, Office 365 and social media. My absolute favorite functionality of Insightly is that it integrates with MailChimp. I am thrilled that there is an option to integrate my MailChimp information with my other accounts.

Nonprofits can also use Insightly to track donations. Click here for a case study about how a nonprofit used Insightly to track donations as it worked toward its fundraising goals.
