I’m always looking for ways to keep my daughter entertained while we are running around town. As a result, I put together this small activity kit. The tin, notepad and crayons are from Target. I used magnets from my refrigerator. The whole kit cost me about $2.50. The best part—I can easily fit the kit in my purse and will always have it if I need an activity to entertain my daughter.

On a side note, the crayons are washable and cost a little more than regular ones. However, it is well worth it. I insist on buying washable after a few fun experiences trying to remove marks created by my toddler and regular crayons. Let’s just say the crayons won….

I love the tin idea! I usually just throw little things like this in a Ziploc, but sometimes toddlers like the packaging more than the actual toy/activity :). I'll bet the magnets make it even more fun!

This is a cute idea! If you draw a tic-tac-toe grid inside/outside the lid with enough magnets thrown in you have one more activity.

You are the clever mom. It’s always a good idea to have something that keeps the young ones entertained in the car, at least until they fall asleep!

I love this idea. Kids love things in pretty little packages. This is a great idea for road trips of any length!
