Tortilla Hot Dog Wrap

The tortilla hot dog wrap is a very easy and quick meal your kids will love.

The tortilla hot dog wrap is a new family favorite. It is a great snack, lunch item or appetizer. If you make it as an appetizer, I would suggest cutting the wrap into three smaller pieces and serving it with a variety of dipping sauces.

If your kids are anything like my daughter, they love to eat hot dogs. My daughter has two favorite foods: hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Not eaten together, of course, that would be really gross.

The other day, when she asked me to cook a hot dog, I decided to get a little creative. She wont eat a hot dog if it is in a hot dog bun. She will just remove the bun and eat the hot dog by itself.

So, instead of giving her a plain hot dog, I decided to make a wrap. I hoped it would encourage her to eat the tortilla.

This recipe is ridiculously easy and quick to prepare. Plus, it only uses ingredients that are readily available in most homes.

I don’t know about you, but I enjoy making things in my toaster oven. It is kind of like a grown up version of an easy bake oven. I love that I don’t have to wait for my big oven to preheat.

My toaster oven only takes a few minutes to heat up. I like that I don’t have to use my big oven to make single servings.

You can serve this tortilla hot dog wrap with mustard, ketchup or barbecue sauce. Once it is cooked, the tortilla hot dog wrap is really crunchy and tastes great.

This tortilla hot dog wrap is a quick lunch time option. It is super crunchy and cooks quickly in your toaster oven.

Ingredients

• 1 flour tortilla
• 1 cooked hot dog
• 1 piece of cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat toaster oven to 350.
2. Microwave the tortilla for 5-10 seconds (until it easily bends).
3. Tightly wrap the hot dog and cheese inside the tortilla.
4. Place in the toaster oven, directly on the rack, seam side down. (You don't need to use a toothpick or anything to hold the tortilla closed. Just place it with the seam side down and it will stay put).
5. Toast for 7-10 minutes until the tortilla is browned.
6. Serve with mustard, ketchup or barbecue sauce.
