If you’re like me, you want to take a little break after all of the holiday meal preparations.

This calzone recipe is quick and easy. Plus, each family member will enjoy making his/her own calzone.

All you need is a package of pita pockets, sauce and your family’s favorite pizza toppings. I make these in my panini press. You could easily use your oven with equally delicious results.

Ingredients:

  • Package pita pockets
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Black olives
  • Pepperoni

Instructions:

  1. Pizza sauce for dipping (you can use a jar of sauce or try this recipe)
  2. Cut each pita in half (if it isnt portioned in the package).
  3. Fill each half with cheese, pepperoni, black olives or other toppings of your preference.
  4. Toast in a panini press until the cheese is melted or put in the oven at 350 for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve with warm pizza sauce.

You can add other toppings. I just included my family’s favorites. I hope you enjoy this recipe for quick calzones.
