Chocolate Peppermint Oreo Cake Mix Cookies

Chocolate peppermint cake mix cookies are the most amazing combination of chocolate, mint, Oreos and cake mix! 

I love pretty much any kind of cookie. As far as store bought cookies go, I love Oreos.

So, imagine pairing the two.

I’m talking about putting Oreos inside a homemade cookie.

It has to be amazing, right?

This was my exact mindset when my sister gave me one of these super delicious cookies. I was amazed by the incredible mint chocolate flavor of the cookie. I also loved that the cookie was created using a cake mix.

If you’ve ever eaten a cake mix cookie, you know they taste absolutely delicious! However, these cookies are a little different.

You can’t taste the cake mix in these cookies. But don’t worry, this is still one dynamite cookie with the incredible flavors of chocolate and peppermint.

This fluffy cookie is full of Oreo pieces, milk chocolate chips and peppermint baking chips. It is so good. It combines all of my favorite flavors in one yummy cookie!

I love the way the peppermint crunch baking chips look in this cookie. So, I got to thinking…these would make a great holiday cookie. Don’t you think so?

Peppermint Oreo Crunch Cookies Printable Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (put them in a plastic baggie and crush with a rolling pin or bottom of a cup)
  • 1 cup peppermint baking chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. In a mixer, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs and extracts. Create a dough.
  2. Add the peppermint chips, crushed Oreos and chocolate chips. Stir by hand until combined.
  3. Refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Roll the dough into balls. Slightly flatten with a spatula.
  5. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes.

If you want to make these cookies set up faster, you can put them in the freezer for about half an hour. Also, I think these cookies taste amazing cold. You can put a few in the refrigerator to check it out.

  • 1 egg
  • ¼ tsp peppermint extract
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • 4 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (put them in a plastic baggie and crush with a rolling pin or bottom of a cup)
  • 1 cup peppermint baking chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips

  1. In a mixer, combine the cake mix, melted butter, egg and extracts. Create a dough.
  2. Add the cream cheese and stir to combine.
  3. Add the peppermint chips, crushed Oreos and chocolate chips.
  4. Stir by hand until combined.
  5. Refrigerate for an hour.
  6. Roll the dough into balls.
  7. Slightly flatten with a spatula.
  8. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
