Mummy Spaghetti

ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment October 10, 2013

I originally wrote a post about spooky spaghetti and meatballs. Since my family eats a lot of spaghetti, I came up with another spooky Halloween variation. Your kids will love this mummy spaghetti recipe.

To save time, you could easily use jarred sauce for this recipe. However, I’ve included an easy spaghetti sauce recipe below.

Mummy Spaghetti Recipe

Spaghetti Sauce:

2-15 oz. cans tomato sauce
2-6 oz. cans tomato paste plus two cans water
4 cloves of garlic minced
1&1/2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup powdered Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp sugar

Heat olive oil in a pot then add garlic. Cook briefly and then add the rest of the ingredients. Cover and let simmer on the stove for 15-20 minutes. Serve over pasta.

To create the mummy, use two black olives for eyes. Next, shred a string cheese and overlap it over the bowl of pasta to create a mummy.
