ByJessica Wellington 1 Comment February 12, 2015

#disneyside We put together a super fun and unique Jake And The Neverland Pirates Treasure Chest Valentine. See how we did it with duct tape and brown lunch sacks.

You may be surprised to see how simple this Valentine’s Day card is to put together. Not only is it really easy to do, it is pretty inexpensive.

I love that this is a themed Valentine filled with pirate treasure. My daughter couldnt wait to hand these out to her friends. They had so much fun putting on the eye patches and pretending to be pirates.

Dont worry, if you need a last minute Valentine for a class party, you can find all of these supplies at Target.

Jake And The Neverland Pirates Treasure Chest Valentine Instructions

  • Gold duct tape
  • Black sharpie
  • Scissors
  • Brown lunch sacks
  • Pirate eye patches
  • Chocolate gold coins
  • Jake and the Neverland Pirates (or another pirate themed) Valentine’s Day card

Cut about about 1/2 way through the lunch bag.

Fold the top of the bag toward the bottom, leaving about a 1 inch space.

Using a sharpie, draw lines on the bag to make it look like a pirate’s chest.

Draw enough lines to cover the front of the bag.

Fill the bag with a pirate patch, chocolate gold coins and a Jake And The Neverland Pirates Valentine’s Day card.

Cut a strip of gold duct tape. If your duct tape is too sticky, put it in the freezer for a few minutes to make it easier to cut. Attach the duct tape square to the bag to hold it shut. Using the sharpie, draw a keyhole on the duct tape.

By the time you’re finished, you will have a unique Jake And The Neverland Pirates Valentine that will stand out from the rest. Kids will love opening the fun treasure chest to find the pirate patch, gold coins and Valentine’s Day card.
