Houston Zoo Lights

ByJessica Wellington 2 Comments November 21, 2012

There is nothing better than a trip to the Houston Zoo. Now, imagine a trip to the Houston Zoo, holiday style! From the moment you approach the front gate, you are transported to a holiday display that would put even Clark Griswold to shame (Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite movies).

There are thousands of LED lights throughout the zoo. They are absolutely amazing. One of our favorite light exhibits was the car “Holly Berry.” This classic Cadillac put on a light show in time with holiday music. My daughter was mesmerized by this vehicle. She spent quite a bit of time dancing with the car.

My daughter loved the running bunny light display. From what I could tell, it was a favorite among all of the kids in attendance. The area was packed with kids taking turns racing the running bunny.

As we walked around the zoo, we were entertained by holiday music. During each night of TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights, there will be special performances by area choirs.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Zoo Lights. It will definitely be our new holiday tradition.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful flower!

I chose to stay home on Black Friday. I’m always tempted to go out, but know I’d regret it as soon as I hit traffic. Sounds like you got some good deals!

Thanks for linking up with my NO RULES Weekend Blog Party 🙂
