Houston CityPASS Review

ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment May 29, 2014

I was given the opportunity to use the Houston CityPASS to visit three attractions. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Houston CityPASS is a great way to visit Houston attractions at a major discount around 47 percent.

You can use the CityPASS to visit the following attractions:

  • Space Center Houston
  • Downtown Aquarium
  • Houston Museum of Natural Science
  • Houston Zoo or Kemah Boardwalk
  • The Children’s Museum of Houston or The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

Advantages of the CityPASS:

  • Save money on popular attractions.
  • Avoid ticket lines.
  • Take your time because the CityPASS is valid for nine consecutive days from the first day of use.
  • Easy purchasing options.

For more information, visit the Houston CityPASS Web site.

We used the CityPASS to visit the Downtown Aquarium, The Children’s Museum of Houston and The Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Downtown Aquarium

This is a fun family friendly exhibit. We loved the looked at the fish in the aquariums. I loved the nautical theme of the exhibits.

The Downtown Aquarium features:

  • Lousiana Swamp
  • Shipwreck
  • Rainforest
  • Sunken Temple
  • Gulf of Mexico
  • White Tigers
  • Stingray Reef

We LOVED the Stingray Reef! You get to interact with the stingrays by petting them. You can also pay a small fee to feed the stingrays. It was a blast.

The Children’s Museum of Houston

This is an amazingly fun museum to visit with your children. My daughter is always thrilled to visit the Children’s Museum of Houston.

The exhibits at the Children’s Museum of Houston include:

  • Invention Convention
  • Kidtropolis
  • Cyberchase
  • Matter Factory
  • FlowWorks
  • PowerPlay
  • EcoStation
  • Inventors Workshop
  • McGovern Kid’s Hall
  • TotSpot
  • Building Zone
  • How Does It Work?
  • Think Tak
  • Got Gas?
  • Dragons and Fairies

My daughter’s favorite exhibit is the small scale kid city known as Kidtropolis. She loves shopping in the HEB grocery store.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science

This is always a favorite family fun location. It is so educational and interesting. We love the interactive exhibits. My daughter, however, is a huge fan of the dinosaur exhibit. It is her favorite. Of course, we cant leave the museum without her taking a ride on the dinosaur.
