Hip & Hop In The House

I received Hip & Hop In The House to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hip & Hop In The House

Are you familiar with The Tortoise and the Hare fable? Thanks to Disney-Hyperion, you can enjoy a modern take on the classic tale!

Hip & Hop In The House: A Free Flowing Tortoise and the Hare Collection is written and illustrated by Jef Czekaj. This single book contains two hilarious stories: Hip & Hop In The House and Yes, Yes, Yaul!. Plus, there is a bonus comic at the very end. The book features super cool characters, traditional narration and comic book elements.

Both stories center around a bunny and a turtle, an unlikely pair who make a hilarious team! These two aren’t ordinary animals. The bunny is a super fast rapper! The turtle, however, raps at a very slow speed.

When the two get together to compete in a rap-off, you can bet that it will be quite the spectacle. These two characters are so different. However, they end up becoming the very best of friends.

Not only does this book feature two funny stories, it encourages reader participation. There are color-coded mini-raps for both fast and slow read-alongs.

This book is laugh-out-loud hilarious! You will really enjoy reading this with your kids. My daughter and I had a blast reading the fast and slow rap songs. Plus, the raps themselves are very funny!

For a super fun reading experience, check out Hip & Hop In The House!
