Fall is my favorite time of year. As we head into winter, I really look forward to the change in weather.
During the fall months, I love to use candles. I really enjoy filling my home with amazing fragrances that remind me of this time of year.
Since I’m really inspired by fall right now, I want my home to smell like my favorite season.
During my last shopping trip to Kroger, I decided to check out the fragrance options.
Once inside the store, I easily located the candles in the air freshener aisle.
I was happy to notice the new Glade® Limited Edition Fall Collection scents: Pumpkin Pit Stop™ and Hit the Road™. I just love the fun names of these fall candles.
Pumpkin Pit Stop™ smells incredible. It reminds me of a homemade Pumpkin Pie baking in the oven. This fragrance was a family favorite.
Hit The Road™ smells very fresh, like a cold, fall day. The scent from this candle immediately reminded me of crisp, chilly weather.
While checking out the Glade® jar candles, I noticed that you can also buy these fragrances in wax melts (which require a warmer), plug in scented oils and premium room sprays.
After smelling each of the scents, I was immediately transported back to my childhood. I grew up on Army bases in Germany. As a result, fall always meant cold weather, pumpkins and changing leaves.
My family always had so much fun doing outdoor activities together during the fall months. In addition, my Mom always baked pumpkin bread and pies.
I love that these candles remind me of favorite childhood memories.
Now that I live in Texas, fall is a completely different experience. We really don’t have cold weather or a lot of changing leaves.
As the Mom of an almost six year old, I want to create the fall atmosphere of my childhood.
I decided to use the amazing Glade® Limited Edition Fall Collection jar candles to usher in one of my favorite seasons and create a fall environment in my own home.
The Glade® Limited Edition Fall Collection fragrances are perfect. Not only do they smell like fall, they also look like it.
Hit the Road™ reminds me of the color of the sky on a fall day. It is a great shade of blue.
To me, Pumpkin Pit Stop™ is the perfect shade of orange. This is the ultimate fall candle in terms of color and fragrance.
Since the Pumpkin Pit Stop™ reminded me so much of fall, I was inspired to create a fun pumpkin tablescape.
Fall Pumpkin Tablescape
Supplies:
- 5 mini pumpkins
- 5 yellow flowers (I used yellow spider mums)
- Scissors
- Drill
- 2 flat wooden planks (or wood tiles)
Instructions:
Arrange pumpkins down the center of a table on top of two wooden planks.
Drill a hole into the top of each pumpkin.
Take five yellow flowers and remove most of each stem. Leave a small portion to stick into the hole you created in the top of each pumpkin.
Stick a flower into the top of each pumpkin.
It is so easy to create this fall themed tablescape. I love the combination of yellow and orange. It is perfect for a family dinner, a get together with friends or just to create a fall atmosphere in your home.
To keep the flowers fresh, you can return them to water at night. The next day, place them back inside each pumpkin.
I’m thrilled that my home is now fall ready. It is filled with the delicious fragrance of pumpkin with a light hint of vanilla. My pumpkin tablescape fits in perfectly with the fall scent drifting throughout my home.
