Every holiday season, I do a lot of baking. In addition to baking cookies and treats for parties and neighbors, I also love to serve pie. I cant think of a better end to a holiday meal than a delicious pie.

In addition to baking, the holidays are also a time to think about gratitude. If you have children, you know the importance of teachers. They are responsible for educating our children. Since they spend a lot of time with them, it is only fitting to show appreciation.

I decided to use a Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pie to create a really spectacularly unique teacher’s gift. To share the joy of pie, I wanted to make a big dessert and put it inside a pretty, festive basket.

Since I wanted to do something outside of the box, I decided to make a piecaken, which is a pie baked inside of a cake. I think it is a great combination of two delicious desserts.

I went to my local Walmart to check out the Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies and pick up the rest of my ingredients.

I was immediately drawn to the Southern Pecan Pie. I decided to pair it with a German chocolate cake mix to create a really decadent dessert.

I love German chocolate cake and thought the pecan pie would make a perfect match.

I also stopped to pick of a can of Reddi-wip®. I love using it on top of my pie.

When I returned home, my husband and daughter joined me in the kitchen. We couldn’t wait to make this fun dessert.

I love the way this piecaken turned out. I think the layers are really great. Here is a side view.

Once I completed my dessert, I took a red basket and hung a glitter star on the front. Inside the basket, I included cups, plates and forks. I also added a container of milk and the Reddi-wip®. I think it is much fun to create a dessert for everyone to share.

Now that I’ve shared my fun way to eat a Marie Callender’s® Dessert Pies, I’d love to hear from you. What is your favorite way to eat pie?

I’m totally showing this to my sister because she didn’t believe me that a piecaken even existed! We can never decide whether we want pie or cake so now we can have both! [client]

Love this idea! Wanted to give it a trial run before week of Thanksgiving and boy was I amazed. This is a show stopper. Thanks so much! Blessings!🦃🦃
