Ever since my daughter turned two, she refuses to wear a bib. Every time I put one on her, she takes it off. I’ve tried several different types of bibs to no avail. Since she is coming into the stage where she likes to play dress up, I came up with an idea. I got a selection of my old colorful t-shirts and let her choose a few. These became her special meal time shirts. I put them on her, over her clothes, and clip the back so that they fit. The shirts cover most of her clothing. As a result, her entire outfit is protected from messy meals. She absolutely loves the shirts and makes a big production of putting them on. I’m glad this solution worked for us. I no longer have to spend extra time trying to get food stains out of her good clothing.

I love your story! Your grandparents sound pretty innovative. I'm glad it worked for you. It gives me hope that it will continue to work for my daughter.
That's pretty funny, because that is what was done to me when I was a kid. My mom worked a lot when I was little and we lived with my grandparents who took care of me, and at mealtime, it would be one of my grandpa's undershirts that went on me. I loved it.

Hi Stephanie! Nice to have you here from bloggy moms. Thanks so much for the nice comments. I'm going to check out your site.
That is a really neat idea. I think almost every mom has extra shirts laying around and not being worn anymore so why not get some more use out of them. Its great that it works!!!
Have a great day 🙂
