Celebrate The Olympics With Pizza!

ByJessica Wellington 5 Comments February 7, 2014

The Olympics start today. I’ve been following all of the funny tweets and posts from reporters who are having all kinds of experiences over in Sochi. I guess door knobs are a hot commodity over there. I don’t envy them at all.

Anyway, my daughter saw a commercial for the Olympics and asked me about it. I explained that teams from all over the world go to one place to compete for medals. I then told her about the various sporting events. She is really excited.

When I was younger, I used to get really excited about the Olympics. Now, however, I kind of wait for them to be over so normal TV programming can commence. However, this year, I’m trying to see things from my daughter’s perspective.

The Olympics are kind of exciting. I love supporting my country. Plus, the opening and closing ceremonies are always pretty neat. So, to celebrate the start of the Olympics, here is a super fun pizza that features the five rings and shows our support for the USA!

Oh, this is sooo cute! We don’t eat pepperoni but maybe I can make the rings out of tomatoes or something.
