Aladdin in 4DX

ByCourt Wellington Leave a Comment June 2, 2019

We had the opportunity to view Aladdin in 4DX. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We had the opportunity to watch Aladdin in 4DX! Let’s break the two key items down, Aladdin and 4DX….

You might ask, what is 4DX? They have taken the best of what a theater has to offer, a big screen, 3D and a comfortable chair then they turned it into an amusement ride! All of the thrills of being in the movie are brought to life with motion, air, scents and mist (which you can turn off.) The seats are grouped together in sets of four and they rock, sway and pitch just like a roller coaster. Hold on to your popcorn, because you are in for one big adventure.

Now let’s talk about the movie. Aladdin has gone from the classic cartoon to a live action film. They did a great job making this movie. There were many breathtaking scenes. From the chase through town, to the parade into town, and the several awesome flying carpet rides, there was plenty of action in this film. Combine the great action with the musical numbers and it is a fantastic movie-viewing experience.

When you take this exciting film and add the 4DX experience, you are in for some real fun. Flying through the air on a magic carpet takes no imagination…you can experience it right in the theater! Things whistling past your ears are replicated by the puffs of air. I enjoyed watching my daughter trying to duck each time something went soaring at the main characters and holding on with both hands just because it seemed to make the chair move faster. Even calm scenes, such as floating on a boat in the sea, are brought to life with a slow rocking and gentle breeze scent of the sea blowing across the theater.

I would say that if you are planning to watch a movie in 3D and have the option to enjoy it in 4DX, take it. It is the shortest wait for a ride and it lasts the duration of a movie.
