I was given the opportunity to view Frozen 2 in 4DX to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s that time of the year…when you make a few lists and check them twice. After you’ve wrapped up your holiday Black Friday shopping (and crossed off all the gifts on your list), it’s time to settle down to a long winter…movie. Frozen 2 hit theaters in time to get us into the winter mood, especially since it feels like fall at best outside.
We had extra fun watching Frozen 2 in 3D in the 4DX theater! If you have a theater with 4DX nearby and have not tried it, I would add it to one of your many holiday lists! Entering the theater, you get a glimpse at what you are in for when you take in the 4DX sign. It shows many icons and covers everything from lightning to rain and includes bubbles, wind and snow!
Courtney was so excited to see Frozen 2. She went prepared, sporting her Frozen crown, Elsa shirt, sparkly skirt and shoes.
Her favorite scenes all had the common theme of singing! The 4DX theater brought each song to life with the audience swaying, twirling and thumping to the music. The concept of bass is taken to another level when your seat actually thumps into you.
I enjoyed the use of water droplets and cool air blowing around as we raced down river rapids. It took boating to a whole new level. You feel like you are right in the middle of the action, on the edge of your seat as you rush down the river.
For a kids movie full of all ages, one of the biggest testimonies to the excitement of the movie and 4DX is that not a single child required a bathroom break or more snacks during the hour and forty-four-minute film. No one fell asleep and there were plenty of “ohhs and ahhs” throughout.
I recently realized if you are not a fan of 3D movies, you can still enjoy everything else about 4DX. So, whether it is your first time, or you’ve already experienced 4DX, I recommend enjoying and enhancing your Frozen 2 movie-watching experience!
