ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment November 18, 2019

I was given the opportunity to view Galaxy Lights at Space Center Houston. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My family loves Christmas lights. So, as you can imagine, we had a blast attending the Galaxy Lights display at Space Center Houston.

Everyone in my family enjoyed every aspect of Galaxy Lights. It is the perfect way to usher in the holiday season. Not only can you view some pretty impressive light features, but there are also several incredible photography opportunities.

Space Center Houston Galaxy Lights Features

  • Take a tram tour through an illuminated tunnel that features 250,000 lights synchronized to holiday music.
  • Visit Rocket Park and enjoy plenty of light displays with a space theme.

  • At Rocket Park, you can also view animated 3-D projections on the Saturn V (this was one of our favorite features). As you walk along the rocket, you follow the animated tale of a young boy and his snowglobe. It is adorable!

  • The Main Plaza features a fantastic kinetic light show. We actually watched this show two times. It features dozens of suspended lights that are synchronized to holiday music. In this area, you can also interact with advanced LED and RGB light displays. These interactive learning stations feature all kinds of activities. Our daughter really enjoyed being in the middle of a life-size kaleidoscope.
  • You can also view the original film, “Holidays in Space,” which features real footage of astronauts celebrating the holidays.

While you are enjoying Galaxy Lights, don’t forget to take a selfie! I was so impressed with the pretty holiday photography area. There are two light installations that are designed for photos. We loved taking pictures with the moon.

My daughter really enjoyed filling the “t” in on the word earth. You could easily use these photos for your Christmas cards this year.
