ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment January 30, 2019

I received The Nutcracker and the Four Realms to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Have you seen The Nutcracker and the Four Realms? It is a fantastic film from Disney. Now, you can enjoy the popular tale in the form of a beautiful pop-up book by Courtney Acampora.

When you first see this book, you can tell it is anything but ordinary. The cover features a beautiful, sparkly illustration.

In this story, the main character, Clara, is in search of a key that will unlock a special golden egg. When she searches for it, she ends up entering a parallel world that is beyond anything in her imagination.

She meets all kinds of interesting characters along her journey through the realms. These incredible lands include Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. However, there is a fourth realm that isn’t like the others. In this dark realm, she encounters a formidable character. In the end, Clara must retrieve the key and bring peace back to the unstable world.

Children of all ages will love this book. As they turn the pages and enter the different realms, the immersive pop-up illustrations really enhance the reading experience.

From the detailed illustrations to the innovative pop-up artwork, children will enjoy reading this book again and again.
