From Disney-Hyperion, Have You Heard About Lady Bird?: Poems About Our First Ladies is written by Marilyn Singer and illustrated by Nancy Carpenter. This book is a great way to get your kids interested in American history.

Follow along as the author provides details about important First Ladies with engaging rhyming text. Your kids will love the way the text flows within the pages of this book. Plus, the colorful illustrations add an entertaining aspect to the historical information.

This book does an amazing job portraying the importance of the role of First Lady. When looking back at U.S. history, it is very easy to focus on past Presidents and their contributions to our country. However, it is important to realize that each First Lady has also left her own mark on history.

As an adult, I am always interested in learning about the history of our country. I find it to be a fascinating topic. However, kids can get a little bored if they are bombarded with historical facts in an unexciting manner. This book is so entertaining to read that kids will enjoy learning about these iconic women. The author makes reading about history fun with her sing-songy text.

From Martha Washington to Melania Trump, this book is full of historical fun facts that will surprise you!
