Toll House Pie-My New Thanksgiving Tradition

ByJessica Wellington Leave a Comment November 22, 2011

Toll house pie tastes like cookie dough baked into a pie crust. It is one of my favorite types of pie.

When it comes to pie, I usually bake the classics like apple or pumpkin. This year, I decided to make a toll house pie.

The first time I made one for my family, we were stunned we hadn’t tried it before. It was really good. Like ridiculously good.

If you haven’t tried this type of pie yet, I urge you to do so. I cant think of anyone who wouldn’t want to eat it. I adapted this recipe from Nestle’s Toll House Pie.

Toll House Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pie shell (if you’ve read my other posts, I recommend using Betty Crocker’s pie crust mix-read about it here)
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1&1/4 sticks of butter (room temperature)
3/4 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions:

Beat eggs then add flour and the sugars. Add butter. Beat until incorporated. Add chocolate chips and beat for a few seconds. Pour into pie crust. Tear strips of aluminum foil and cover the crust while it bakes to ensure it doesn’t burn. Bake for 60-65 minutes at 325 degrees.

I hope you enjoy this pie. I bet it will become on of your family favorites.
