Sheet Pan Apple Crisp Recipe

ByJessica Wellington 12 Comments April 21, 2015

An apple crisp recipe made in a sheet pan? That’s right. You read it correctly. This apple crisp bakes in an ordinary sheet pan. But, dont worry, it is still incredible. It is the perfect summertime dessert.

I love that you can eat a piece of this apple crisp almost like a bar cookie. A fork is not necessary or required.

Why a sheet pan?

Well, I wanted to make a thinner apple crisp. Something that had a layer of crust, a thin layer of apples and an amazing crisp topping.

To me, the apples aren’t always the stars of the show. I love pie crust and apple crisp topping. I decided to maximize on those features in this apple crisp recipe. However, rest assured, there is still a delicious layer of fruit in the middle of this incredible apple crisp.

So, Im wondering where you stand in the age old debate: is apple crisp/pie better served cold or hot? Leave me a comment and let me know! Im on the cold side, by the way.
