Many people know a close friend or family member who has been impacted by cancer. I’ve had many friends and relatives who have gotten the frightening cancer diagnosis. Many are afraid and unsure of how to proceed with treatment. There is a resource available for those impacted by cancer. It is the American Cancer Society.
The American Cancer Society is not only a resource for those battling cancer, but it participates in the fight against this terrible disease. For 100 years, this organization has fought against cancer, searched for cures and offered support to those battling cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, we are making strides in the fight to cure cancer and prolong life. If you lived 60 years ago, only one out of three people diagnosed with cancer survived at least five years. Today, two out of three will survive. The American Cancer Society has the determination for all people to survive a cancer diagnosis.
To reach this goal, the organization supports the top cancer researchers. The American Cancer Society has been involved with almost every major cancer breakthrough in recent times. Not only is the American Cancer Society held in high regard, it has also received 46 Nobel Laureates for its advancements.
The American Cancer Society cannot do its work without support. This year, hundreds of research studies were unfunded due to a lack of resources.
If you want to be on the forefront battling cancer with the American Cancer Society, you can make a donation. For just a few dollars, you can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
