Homemade Pizza With Stuffed Crust
- 1 package of yeast
- 1&1/2 cups warm water
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
- Black olives (halved)
- 7-10 string cheeses
- Combine the yeast and warm water. Stir until combined. Let the yeast proof for 5 minutes.
- In a mixer, add the flour, salt, honey and olive oil to the the yeast mixture. Mix until incorporated and a dough forms.
- Knead the dough in your mixer with a dough hook or on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours.
- Once the dough has doubled in size, preheat the oven to 425.
- Lightly oil (with olive oil) a baking sheet and your hands.
- Take half of the dough and press it into a circle shape.
- Insert a string cheese at the edge of the dough leaving a ½ inch gap. Use the gap to cover the string cheese.
- Continue inserting string cheeses until you've created a complete stuffed crust.
- Add sauce, cheese and olives.
- Bake at 425 for 13 minutes.
