Chocolate Chip Cookie Scones
 
These delicious scones taste just like chocolate chip cookies.
Ingredients
  • 2¼ cups flour
  • ¼ cup white sugar + 2 Tbsp. extra for topping
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2¼ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ cup cold butter cubed
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • 1 & ½ tsp. vanilla
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • Parchment paper
Instructions
  1. Combine the flour, sugars, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the cubed butter.
  3. With a pastry blender (or use two butter knives) blend until the mixture resembles crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, combine the egg, milk, sour cream and vanilla.
  5. Add this mixture to the flour bowl.
  6. Stir until you create a dough.
  7. Flour a work surface.
  8. Place the dough on it and knead a few times until it is coated with flour.
  9. Create a circle, 9-10 pie shaped wedges and top with sugar.
  10. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and top each wedge.
  11. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes.
